Scott's Biography
Scott's interest in art began at the age of five, through building model kit figures and drag race cars. By the age of ten , he started seriously drawing and painting pictures of nitro funny cars. This led to experiments with color painting on canvas using traditional tools and brushes, creating some amazing works of art . In 1979 he bought his first airbrush which opened up a huge new array of techniques that were added to his already vast knowledge of paint application . Though the airbrush was not used in his canvas work , he did incorporate it into painting on real cars and motorcycles and as a hobby / model painting tool .
In 1986 his lifelong dream to design and paint graphics on a REAL funny car came true. "Bullet" Bob Floch and his charming wife Cathie, commissioned Scott to design the "Bullet Bob" Funny Car. Scott went on to paint many other race cars that toured with Bob and Cathie, he is grateful for this opportunity to this day.
In 1995 Scott worked as a computer artist and also started freelancing in Toronto with several FX companies, painting prosthetics and costumes used for movies and TV shows . Some of his credits are on such movies as The "X-Men" where he did design work on the 'Mystique' character's appearance and lens designs for many of the other characters eyes in the movie . He also did all of the paintwork on the TV show "Goose-Bumps" for the final two seasons of filming (Main monsters and characters only) . Scott also did work on the "Robo Cop"mini-series , "Three to Tango"movie , "Thomas The Tank Engine" movie , "Harold and Kumar Go To Whitecastle"movie , "Tuxedo" movie , and the "Doodlebops" and "Longhouse Tales" kids TV shows . Between all this he has done paintwork on many main characters for TV shows and commercials.
In 1998, Scott turned his artistic abilities towards sculpting and produced the "Raised by the Demons" model kit for G-Force. These 'new found' skills led him to competing in world championship Sand Sculpting competitions partnering with his wife Karen Fralich ,who became a four-time world champion sand sculptor in 2011 ( www.sandqube.com ). Scott has also developed molding and casting skills as a compliment to his sculpting interests, with lots of help from long time friend and "mold-master" Gary White ( www.gforcemodels.com ). Most figure models on this site were bought from G-force models.
Scott's multileveled skills are clearly seen in the following pages, take your time looking and enjoy the ride.
